Position Description

Job Title: Project Architect
Reporting Into: Design Director - MEA
Direct Reports: N/A
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Objective:
To work alongside the Lead/Senior Designer and develop designs throughout all design phases. Responsible for completion of full project drawing packages and scheduling. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of concept plans, elevation, and detail drawings using AutoCAD for structure, architecture, interiors, FF&E layouts, architectural detailing, second fix lighting, and basic joinery details. 
• Production of detailed technical drawing packages for interior requirements. 
• Site surveys and preparation of plans. 
• Site visits, surveys, and preparations of As-built drawings. 
• Preparation of sketch-up models and basic renders. 
• Completion of basic design BOQ, materials specifications, and calculation of quantities using auto count plug in and manual calculation.
• Preparation of schedules. 
• Completion of all necessary paperwork and following Arena Standard Operating Procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Personal

• Motivated and positive person.
• An eye for detail and a thorough and careful worker. 
• Good communicator to ensure seamless drawing coordination. 
• Creative thinker and a passion for architecture and interior design. 

Technical

• Knowledge or experience with Sketch Up Pro, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite. 
• Knowledge of Revit is an advantage

Education and Experience:

• Diploma Level Design qualification is a minimum requirement.
• 5+ years’ experience in an interior design or architecture environment; commercial/residential interior design, exhibition stand design etc.
